Landscape Lighting Technician

Our landscape lighting technicians bring comfort, safety, and security to homeowners with beautiful outdoor lighting setups. With our breathtaking lighting designs, outdoor spaces come alive, setting the stage for nightlife entertainment all over Tampa Bay.

Our landscape lighting displays have been featured all over the United States in print, online, and even on television! When you join our team of landscape lighting specialists, you’ll work on exciting projects that you’ll be proud to include in your portfolio, all while building your confidence and skill set. This is a full-time, year-round position and is available immediately.

Pay

  • $18 per hour for employees with prior electrical training, with raises considered during annual performance evaluations.
  • $16 per hour for employees without prior electrical training, with raises given after completing each level of our in-house training program, then considered during annual performance evaluations.

Hours

We work during daylight hours during weekdays, and work on Saturdays is sometimes required.

Duties

  • Install electrical fixtures
  • Install outlets
  • Install transformers
  • Run and bury the wire
  • Connect fixtures
  • Balance systems
  • Install sound systems
  • Install patio light stringers
  • Set up automation
  • Coordinate with team to efficiently complete jobs
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot problems in both new and existing systems
  • Resolve issues as they arise during installation
  • Meet promised job completion deadlines
  • Complete preventative maintenance tasks
  • Break down lighting setups as needed
  • Communicate with team members and crew leaders frequently
  • Take ownership of your work and responsibility for any mistakes
  • Collaborate with other on-site vendors
  • Assist with holiday lighting displays during the holiday season
  • Follow safety regulations and COVID-19 protocols

Requirements

  • Have a valid Florida driver’s license and a clean driving record
  • Be able to read and interpret lighting design plans
  • Be able to complete assigned tasks efficiently
  • Be ambitious and motivated
  • Have a positive attitude
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Have reliable transportation to and from different job locations (bikes and public transportation are okay!)
  • Be able to pass a drug screen
  • Be able to complete a background check
  • Have the ability to arrive on time with a readiness to work
  • Have good personal hygiene skills
  • Not have a fear of heights
  • Can climb, crawl, bend, and squat repeatedly for the entire workday
  • Can sit and stand for extended periods, including standing on extension ladders
  • Can lift a minimum of 40 lbs
  • Can work outdoors during daylight hours
  • Have strong communication skills

Previous electrical systems experience is preferred, but not required. If you show the willingness to learn, we’ll teach you everything you need to know.
